History of Muskegon Heights Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc.

The Muskegon Heights Alumnae Chapter was chartered December 12, 1976.

Twelve college grauated women residing in Muskegon County collectively combine their skills and talents to carry on the torch of our National's  mission of sisterhood, scholarship and service established by our 22 illustrious founders  in 1913 at  Howard University.

The  chapter has stood steadfast in ofering services to the county of Muskegon community by applying the five point program thrust, which provides services in a variety of activities and programs which benefits all ethnic backgrounds.

The activities and programs implemented covers a wide range involvement such as Scholarship to over 40 area high school students, tutorial reading services counseling to unwed mothers, contribution assistance to women and children abuse shelter. Bi-Annual Jabberwock, Junteen Family picnic for community,  Delteen/Delta Academy youth group and many other volunteer services.
